WMG Education Director Chris Fower was delighted to be Conn-Selmer Department of Education’s guest at the Midwest Clinic, an orchestra and band conference held in Chicago 16-19 December 2015.

“I enjoyed manning Conn-Selmer's pBone and pTrumpet “Fun Zone" with trombone legend Tom “Bones” Malone which was super busy with loads of kids and adults alike trying our wares, notable brassy visitors to the stand included Charlie Vernon, Mike Dease and Wycliffe Gordon. Brass Herald editor Phillip Biggs dropped in spearheading the great team of British music talent in Chicago that week, Phillip Sparke, Tom Davoren, Paul Lovatt Cooper, Stephen Wick, Steve Legge researching on a Churchill Fellowship and international clarinet soloist Julian Bliss to name but a few! I visited some great elementary school projects with Conn Selmer Education Director Tom Bracy. Alongside the great concerts in the clinic proper I also got chance to catch Bob Mintzer with an all-star Chicago Big Band and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra both of which featured the UK's very own Andy Baker on lead trombone!" - Chris Fower

All in all a great conference with friends old and new, pBone and pTrumpet making people smile every time!
